RIO 2016

Dow is a Worldwide Partner and Official Chemistry Company of the Olympic movement and the official Carbon Partner of the International Olympic Committee.

 

With a winning proposal for the Rio 2016 Olympic Games, we embarked on an 18-month project to create the brand storytelling for the Games. As top-tier sponsors on a global stage, Dow wanted to emphasize sustainability and a human element. 

 

As a result, we did extensive immersion in the history and culture of the country and tied it to the design element throughout the project. While we developed a geometrical theme that was beloved and carried into work beyond Rio 2016, we were intentional to create a theme for the environments that were appropriate to the region and culture.
