We were brought in to work closely with the British Bobsleigh team to design, develop and produce the team’s race-suits — each tailored specifically to the individual athlete’s body specifications. 

 

We first developed a fabric that considered the athlete's need, temperature, strength and range of motion, while at the same time delivering the right amount of compression to encapsulate appropriate muscle groups.

 

We then conducted a thorough analysis of the existing race-suits to identify how best to improve seam placement and construction to improve performance. We radically changed the entry point of the garment which we moved from the neck opening to underneath the arm. In doing so, the zipper was no longer a weak point and were provided more surface area for a fluid design.
